Double Major vs. Dual Degree
Double major
- Students with a double major, receive one degree, and both majors are listed on your transcript.
- Students must meet all degree requirements for each major.
- Students can complete a double major in any two-degree programs.
- Student can ask their advisor to add a double major during an advising appointment or in an email.
Dual Degree
- Students earn two distinct degrees.
- Students must earn a minimum of 150 hours
- Students must meet all degree requirements for each major program.
- Students must meet the specific requirements for each college if the degrees are in separate colleges. It is important for a student to meet with an advisor in each college.
- Currently, enrolled students are encouraged to pursue graduate-level studies toward an advanced degree through the Accelerated Master’s Program (AMP) in lieu of pursuing a concurrent bachelor’s degree.
