Director's Message

Students, Faculty and Staff,

Gregory L. SingletonI am truly excited about the first edition of the College Communicator, a newsletter from UA Engineering Student Services and the Academic Advising Center. Our plans are to publish at least twice per semester and once over the summer.

The content of each issue will vary depending on the activities in our unit, within the College of Engineering as well as throughout the UA academic community. The primary purpose of the newsletter is to communicate updates on our operations, academic policies, staffing concerns and significant achievements among of our students, staff and faculty.

We welcome any suggestions you may have to improve the quality of the College Communicator.

Roll Tide!

Gregory L. Singleton
Director of Engineering Student Services

Advising Begins In January

Advising for the summer and fall 2015 semesters begins Jan. 15, 2015. Academic advising in the College of Engineering is mandatory each semester.

Students are assigned to an advisor based on their last name. Advisors will send advising reminders each semester to a student’s Crimson e-mail account.

There are three types of advising offered: individual appointments, walk-in advising and e-advising.

For appointments please go to our advising website or drop by our office in 290 Hardaway Hall. Contact the Advising Center at (205) 348-0750 or coeadvising@ua.edu.
